Repeat Regional Anthropomorphic Writers Retreat (Re-RAWR)

Current Program Status: Applications Pending | Apply to this program.

The Repeat Regional Anthropomorphic Writers Retreat is the second (and as of this writing, only) furry-focused residential writing workshop in existence. While the Regional Anthropomorphic Writers Retreat focuses on short stories, Re-RAWR is an open-ended experience. This retreat, like RAWR, is structured to take place over a week in a dormitory setting where the writers work in close proximity with each other in order to develop their writing skills, learn from each other, and challenge themselves. However, unlike the RAWR, the attendees are free to choose their goals and propose a project to work on during their stay.

Re-RAWR is designed for writers who want dedicated time to write in a supportive atmosphere with peers whom have gone through the RAWR program. Applicants know they can rely on the other participants to provide good, solid critique, have a firm grasp on the fundamentals of writing, and who have experienced the same challenges of the retreat. The format is open, with the writers setting their own goals, measuring their own progress, and working on any project that they want, from a chapter in a novel, to a novella or short story.

The first Re-RAWR is tentatively planned for the week immediately following the RAWR program and is planned to be an annual recurrence.
